About Morrinsville

Morrinsville is a town with a population a little over 6,000. It is the epicentre for milk collection in what is arguably one of the wealthiest dairy farming areas in the world. Steeped in rural traditions it has a strong business history and is ably served by a variety of Clubs, Service Clubs and organisations including Lions, Pakeke Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis, Freemasons, Lyceum, Probus and Senior Citizens.

The town has an active Little Theatre which hosts several productions annually, a multi-purpose event centre and a well established Historical Society which will become part of a cultural precinct with the Gallery.

In 2008 the town celebrated the centenary of the foundation of the Morrinsville Borough. 2008 was also the centennial of the foundation of Lodge Piako No 160.
