Opening Times:
Tuesday - Sunday 10 am - 4 pm
Winter (June - September) 10 am - 3 pm


We will be closed from 24th December 2016 - 17th January 2017 for the Christmas and New Year break.

Please note: The Gallery is always closed on Mondays INCLUDING PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
We are staffed by volunteers (other than the Director and the Administrator) and it is not possible for us to be get volunteer cover for a 7-day week. Apologies if you have been disappointed by visiting us when we are closed.

Admission fees:
Donations are greatly appreciated

Wallace Gallery does not receive any financial assistance for its day-to-day operational costs. To ensure that this wonderful facility can continue to operate at its current high standard, please donate if you are able.

School parties are welcome but must book in advance.

Schools and Colleges from the Matamata-Piako District can use the Gallery for free, but we politely request that Schools and Colleges from outside of this area give a gold-coin donation for each student visiting

Parking:
There is free parking available in the streets around the Gallery.

Buses:
There is a public bus stop on the South side of Lorne Street across from the Gallery. This is also to be used for a coach drop-off point, but coaches must find alternative long-term parking.

Friends:
There is an attractive Friends membership scheme available, please contact the Gallery for more details or click on the "Information" tab at the bottom of the page and you can download membership information and an application form.

Hire:
The Gallery is available for corporate and private hire. There are beautiful large spaces that would suit a variety of events. Please contact the Gallery for more details.
