A group of painters meet each Friday 11am - 2pm at the gallery to pursue their own painting projects with support and instruction from Susan Roome.

For anyone interested in developing and extending their painting ability, intermediate level and above.

We are pleased to be able to hold the scheduled Te Toi Tūāhu Project Art Wānanga on the 16th and 17th of October. Following on from Kaupapa Matariki is Kaupapa Māori Art with guest artists plus materials and kai provided. The art created will then go on to be exhibited in the gallery and further public spaces.
For those who have signed up – we look forward to seeing you at 9am this coming Saturday and Sunday at the gallery, 167 Thames Street, Morrinsville.

Matariki Exhibition

This year to celebrate Te Matatahi o Te Tau the Matamata Piako Libraries, together with the Morrinsville Gallery have created a kaupapa.
Now underway with 'In-library' wānanga this kaupapa will move into a second phase of fun and creative activities within the art gallery.
