HISTORY OF THE GALLERY

The gallery is situated in a building that was once the Post Office on Morrinsville’s main street.  Major renovations were made to the building when it was secured for the gallery location in 2009. The Morrinsville Art Gallery Charitable Trust was able to carry out the renovation work in full, thanks to fundraising and generous community pledges.

From the project’s inception, it was the vision of the Gallery Committee, to create a place of pride and inspiration for the community.
