10 April - 2 May
The Kay Sheffield Regional challenge exhibition is held biennially, this year in conjunction with the Waikato Embroiderers’ Guild exhibition. It is open to all members of the Association of New Zealand Embroiderers’ Guilds Inc, from the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region guilds which includes Galatea, Opitiki, Rotorua, south Waikato, Taupo, Thames valley, Waipa, Whakatane and Waikato.
Embroiderers exhibiting in this challenge have displayed work that is original in concept and design. The finished piece displays a good level of stitch content, either by machine or hand and may include mixed media techniques. You will enjoy viewing work from beginner through to the more experienced embroiderers and there will be a display of traditional and contemporary embroidery, or a mix of both.
This challenge is only limited by the embroiderer’s imagination.
